I ordered the Cascade vibrator with lube system about two weeks ago. I was really excited when I got it as I believed that the experience and handling with this device is way better than the status quo.
Well, as far as the experience is concerned, I was right. It is just more intuitive when you don’t have to use your vibrator and lubricants in a separated manner. So I really enjoyed myself without any hassles and I could really let go.
What disappointed me was the product quality and the fact that this device is difficult to clean.
The low quality impression starts with packaging that is everything but special. Nonetheless, in my opinion a product from this price range should have decent packaging. My Lelo vibrator for instances is from the same price range and it is just way more sophisticated.
The device itself looks also not very sophisticated. The plastic has a cheap look and feel. Somehow it looks like a vibrator from the 90s.
The component that is absolutely not elaborated is this lube play system. There is no possibility to clean the inner parts that transport the lube through the vibrator. This means there is always lube left in the pipes and as you won’t use the provided 22ml of lube in one shot, this means that depending on how often you used this device, that lube from the pipe is a couple of days, probably weeks old. So not very hygienic if you ask me.
So all in all a nice idea, but not implemented very well from the product side.
With a lube capsule/sachet inserted and ready to go, I quickly learned how the controls of the Ripple work. With just three buttons in total: one is marked power, one marked with a drop to indicate lube and another brings the toys through its various pulsing patterns of vibration. Each button lights up blue when pressed.
Starting on even its lowest vibration setting, it vibrations felt deep with quite a decent level of power behind them. The ribbing along the head of the Ripple is great for rubbing on the clit and delivers clitoral vibrations well too, the addition of being able to press a button for lube was quite the novelty too!
When inserting the Ripple, the lube dispensing function comes in handy and the average girth of the Ripple is manageable but satisfying with a modest five inches of length to work with. There are three steady vibration speeds in total which I found adequately strong and some pulsing vibration options too.
Used clitorally, the Ripple design is great for providing stimulation when rubbing and the grooves press against the clit nicely for really direct stimulation.
While I had been enjoying the strong vibrations, multiple pulse settings and self lubricating function of the Ripple, I soon had to end my session as two parts of the toy broke. Being such a new toy to the market there is room for manufacturing quality to be improved so while I am a fan of its design and function I would want a much sturdier build, which may happen down the line with feedback on its current issues.
I have however still been enjoying the removable shaft of the toy since. Slipping it over two fingers, it can become a type of finger attachment dildo and its clitoral rubbing design and its ability to really massage the front wall has me impressed with its solo performance.
