I've owned a lot of different vibrators in my adult years. Twenty years ago, I had to go to skeevy adult bookstores to buy them, and I would count myself lucky if they lasted even ten sessions before breaking. They were novelty items rather than the impressive feats of engineering that they are today. Plenty of companies are now serious about designing and building these beautiful, efficient, and safe orgasm machines. I think that's pretty great.
There is a downside to this vibrator renaissance, however. I have owned several gorgeous and expensive silicone-covered rechargeable vibrators, and while I loved the idea of them, their performance was always a little lacking, and I'd end up breaking out the Magic Wand to finish off. (I love the Magic Wand, but it's very heavy, and I have bad wrists.) Inevitably, they'd end up at the back of the toy drawer after a few uses, and eventually I'd just throw them out. After the last one, I swore I'd never buy a rechargeable vibrator again. I was surprised when my search for the most powerful non-Magic Wand vibrators on the market led me to the rechargeable Jopen Envy series.
I say all this to emphasize that I was skeptical. But my fabulous old battery-operated rabbit vibe had finally broken after six or seven years of faithful service, and none of the battery-operated replacements I tried had impressed me, and, well, I was getting a bit desperate for a reliable and lightweight electric friend. So I bought it, and...WOW. To me, its highest vibration setting feels every bit as powerful as the Magic Wand, but it's very light and in a much nicer shape. I love it. And of course if all that power is not required, the lower settings are a thing that exist too.
If I could, I'd make the top of the shaft a little narrower so that I'd have more room to maneuver, so to speak, but it's nearly perfect as it is. I'm sure it will not find its way to the back of the drawer any time soon.
Too big, threw it away
